For many years, hypnosis has been the top topic in alternative medicine. But, are effects real or are they only the so-called placebo effects? Recent studies have proven that hypnosis is indeed an effective method that is highly ranked in the alternative medicine, especially for helping those who want to quit smoking, to battle anxiety and depression, etc. Hypnosis is an altered state of mind that induces mind relaxation. However, contrary to popular misconception, when you are in a hypnotic trance or simply said, in a state of hypnosis, you are indeed able to completely control your brain.
Would you like to be able to impress and influence people? Hypnotizing someone is actually an easy thing, if you know how to do it right. We have prepared a super-easy guide dedicated to this matter. As you read through, you will start to better understand what this fascinating therapy actually is about.
The 7 Golden Rules Of Hypnosis
- Do not try to hypnotize someone who is disturbed; or with a history of mental illness; or someone who has epilepsy.
- Do not perform hypnosis only to make fun of someone.
- If you do not know how to do it, do not try to make any suggestions or subconscious changes.
- Do not experiment or do any tricks on the hypnotized person.
- Everything you do contributes to hypnosis. Do not show signs of fluster as an unexpected response, because your inductee will start to panic, which is not good for the therapy.
- Once you have finished, make sure the person is completely out of the hypnosis trance. Take your time to do it so.
- Take it slowly and do it in a safe and comfortable environment.
How To Hypnotize Someone
- Instruct the person to relax the muscles (great way to get rid of all the tension and anxiety) and to focus on the breathing; and to focus the attention on a certain object to prevent any distracting thoughts.
- The next step is to start controlling person’s behaviour by telling him/her to close eyes.
- Keep suggesting that they are feeling more and more relaxed. This is the well-known deepening into the trance phase.
- Ask the person to open his/her eyes. If they cannot, they are hypnotized.
- Now that the person is in a trance, you can influence his/her behaviour and thoughts by giving hypnotic suggestions.
- When finished, bring them out of trance.
How To Hypnotize Someone Into Hypnotic Trance
Make sure the person feels comfortable and you are in a quiet place. As you start the treatment, talk slowly and quietly. Watch the person’s behaviour and breathing.
Most people get hypnotized in about two minutes, if you do it the right way. You know that the person is hypnotized if his/her eyelids are flickering, head and fingers are moving slightly, and other physical signs of trance.
During Hypnosis
- Use only positive words. Avoid negative words and sentences.
- If the person is unresponsive to leaving the state of trance, gently touch them on the arm.
